von Blues tut gut... (1993)... bis ... (2022) - eine Idee, aus einer Bierlaune heraus geboren, wurde real.
Schmölzer-Blues-Tage live im Zelt am Schloss. Die internationale Blues Party in Küps-Schmölz bietet eine hervorragende Kneipenatmosphäre in einer kleinen Zeltstadt (bei Bedarf geheizt) und ist bestens versorgt mit köstlicher Hopfenkaltschale, erlesenen Spirituosen und schmackhaften Gaumenfreuden aus der oberfränkischen Region.
Erdacht und erfunden im Jahre 1993 um eine andere Art von Kunst und Kultur in das ehemalige Zonenrandgebiet, den Frankenwald, zu bringen. Jährlich Anfang September werden im 1000Seelen Dorf Schmölz bei Küps (Ldkrs. Kronach) Bühnenbretter zusammengezimmert und das Ganze mit einer kleinen Zeltstadt umgeben, um mit dem Schmölzer Schloss als Hintergrundkulisse große und kleine Stars der internationalen Blues Szene dem interessierten Publikum vorzustellen. Obwohl das Konzept leider bisher finanziell noch immer nicht aufgegangen ist, machen die Organisatoren weiter. Es scheint, als ob sie den Blues nicht nur lieben. sondern auch leben. Nicht nur für die beiden ursprünglichen Veranstalter, sondern auch für die kleine Gruppe treuer Helfer/Innen geht noch immer Spaß vor Kommerz. Geboten wird ein breit gefächertes Spektrum des Blues und dessen artverwandten Musikrichtungen
